Our studio is purpose-built for controlled dialogue recording, and our engineers know what it takes to get a performance that sits invisibly in the final mix.

who we work with
TV drama and continuing series
Returning productions with regular ADR requirements. We understand broadcast schedules and know how to turn sessions around within tight post timelines.
Feature film
Productions with talent and production teams across multiple locations, connected via Source Connect Pro for studio-quality remote sessions.
Documentary and factual
Interview replacement, narration pickups, and presenter re-records. We are experienced in the particular demands of factual post-production.
Independent film
Feature and short film productions where location sound was impractical or where performance improvements are needed in post.
Remote sessions
Not every ADR session requires everyone in the same building. We have been running remote sessions for long enough to know exactly what’s needed for them to go smoothly, and always working at broadcast quality.
The most common setup is an actor in Edinburgh with a director connecting remotely via Source Connect (V3.9 & V4).
We also support the reverse, where talent connects remotely and we manage the session from Edinburgh. Either way, the quality of the recorded audio is not compromised.
ADR without the travel
Source Connect delivers audio that is indistinguishable from a direct studio recording. Your dubbing mixer will not be able to hear a difference, and the performance your director gets remotely is the same as if they were in the room.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
We can often accommodate sessions at relatively short notice, particularly for single-actor work. For larger loop group sessions or sessions with complex remote setups, a few days notice gives us time to prepare properly. Get in touch as early as you can and we will confirm availability quickly.
-
Yes. We set up a full talkback and monitoring feed so your director can hear the recording in real time, communicate with the actor between takes, and give notes just as they would in the studio. Source Connect Pro is our preferred connection for this.
-
Yes. We deliver to BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and other broadcaster technical specifications as standard. If you are delivering internationally, tell us the spec and we will make sure everything matches.
-
We work with most standard delivery formats. H.264 or ProRes references with burnt-in timecode are the most straightforward. Send us your cut ahead of the session and we will confirm everything is set up correctly before the talent arrives.
