We have two full spec audio post production studios and are a BBC approved supplier.
We’re based in the docklands area of Leith, a little over 2 miles north of Edinburgh’s city centre, so we’re easily accessible for clients and artists based in Scotland. For those further afield we can offer remote links allowing agencies, directors and artists to collaborate from virtually anywhere in the world. These include ISDN, Source Connect Pro, ipDTL, Skype and others.
Studio 1 is our larger room. Designed to give maximum light and space the studio is capable of seating 7 clients and a producer. The recording booth is primarily set up for 2 artists but can seat up to 4 for round table or podcast productions.
Studio 2 is of the small-but-perfectly-formed variety. It can seat 3 clients and a producer with a single person voice booth to the right of the control room. The shape of the room lends itself perfectly to 5.1 surround sound mixing. We have a stunning Genelec 5.1 monitoring system with an SPL surround controller.
Both studios run Nuendo 10 as the primary workstation utilising RME 24bit/96k audio hardware connecting to industry standard Focusrite Red 7 premps and Neumann U87 microphones. We also use software from those terribly clever people at Soundminer, Waves, AudioEase, Source Elements, zplane, Blackmagic Design and many others. Geniuses, each and every one of them.
For ADR and location matching sessions we have Sennheiser MKH40s and Sony ECM83s.
